Sligo Racing Club was formed in 2014. The purpose of the club is to enable members to participate in the ownership or leasing of race horses, and to afford them the benefits and privileges of ownership as may be possible for the club to arrange. While the club will endeavour to manage its financial affairs in a business-like fashion, it is not established for the purpose of making money or providing dividends to its members.

The club's aim is, where possible, to have the horses trained in Sligo. We have currently engaged the services of Mark McNiff as our trainer and he is based in Culleenamore Stable, Strandhill, Sligo. This affords the club members the opportunity to see our horses on a regular basis, whether they are galloping on the beach, or in stables, without having to travel long distances to do so. The club favours summer racing, with the emphasis being on seeing our horse/s run at Sligo, our local race course and at neighbouring tracks.

We have had several wins so far and are looking forward to many more in the future!
